Obituary Herbert Larry Roberts

February 9, 1929 – May 22, 2024

Herbert Larry Roberts, 95, born February 9, 1929, passed away on May 22, 2024, from complications with his heart and lungs.

Daddy passed away peacefully in his home. A home he shared with his beloved wife of 57 years, Teresa Roberts, his son-in-law, Brett Walters, and his daughter, Sabrina Walters. It was a home filled with love, laughter, and the warmth of his presence.

Daddy is survived by his wife, Teresa, 92; daughter, Sabrina Walters, 52; son, Roy Villalobos; grandchildren, Michael Morrow, 34; Garon Gadau, 24; and Ella Gadau, 19.

Daddy was a master of all trades. There was nothing he could not fix or build. At 19, he started working in Limestone for the Evans Family. He worked for Roy Evans at Bedford Stone Service. Years later, he worked for Roy Evan’s son, Larry Evans. He worked his entire life as a Stone Planerman until he retired. He then went back to work for Larry Evans at 70. He was an amazing Limestone planer man and loved his job and boss, Larry Evans. Daddy loved watching old westerns and Gunsmoke, and we binge-watched Friends every night before bed. He was the most kindhearted, gentle, generous, and funniest man. He loved to tell so many jokes, sometimes the same ones he had been telling me since I was a little girl.

The funniest thing about his jokes was that he always laughed so hard at them. He was such a bright light that shined upon all of us closest to him.

Herbert Larry Roberts, our sweet, sweet Daddy, is already deeply missed by all of us who had the privilege of being his own. His absence has left a void that can never be filled in our lives. But we take solace in the fact that we carry all the beautiful memories of him with us forever. Rest in peace, Daddy. Our lives will never be the same without you.

Cresthaven Funeral Home is entrusted with his care. Condolences may be made at www.cresthavenfh.com.
