Marjorie M. Owens, 76, of Bedford, passed away on Friday, May 3, 2024, at White River Lodge in Bedford.
Marjorie Kern was Born September 7, 1947, in Lawrence County, the daughter of Hubert and Catherine (Kinder) Kern. She married Jerome Owens on July 3, 1997, and he survives.
She retired in 1998 from RCA Thompson Electronics. She was a member of the Sherwood Oaks Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jerome of Bedford; one sister, Jeanette Charles of Bedford; one step-daughter, Tricia Hillenburg and husband Dennis of Bedford; one step-son, Trent Owens and wife Nancy of Holland, Indiana; five step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews Vance Charles (Jennifer), Kelly Duncan (David), Vernon Edwards (Cheryl), Kimberly Robinson (Matt), Vickie Edwards Starr, and several great and
great-great nieces and nephews. Her lifelong friends Judy, Sharon, and Joyce also survive her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Roy and Ray Kern, one sister, Donna Stevens, and nephew Jerry Stevens.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7th, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day
& Carter Mortuary with Tim Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will
be from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
