Commencement speaker Johnnie Moore addresses IWU graduates on April 27

MARION— Indiana Wesleyan University will host Rev. Johnnie Moore as the commencement speaker for the spring graduation ceremonies on Saturday, April 27th. Rev. Moore, a distinguished speaker, businessperson, author, and acclaimed human rights and religious freedom activist, will share his insights and experiences with graduates at all three ceremonies.

Johnnie Moore as our commencement speaker,” said Dr. Jon Kulaga, President of Indiana Wesleyan University. “His remarkable achievements and tireless advocacy serve as an inspiration to our graduates as they embark on their journeys of leadership and service. Rev. Johnnie Moore is widely recognized for his significant contributions to the intersection of faith and foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East. As the president of JDA Worldwide and the Congress of Christian Leaders, he has demonstrated unwavering dedication to advocating for human rights and religious freedom on a global scale.

Among his numerous accolades, Rev. Moore was honored with the prestigious Medal of Valor by the Simon Wiesenthal Center for his impactful work. He has been appointed twice to the S Commission for International Religious Freedom, showcasing his expertise and commitment to advancing these critical issues.

In 2020, Rev. Moore was named one of America’s most influential religious leaders, a testament to his profound impact on shaping discussions around faith and diplomacy.  The Jerusalem Post also recognized him as one of the world’s Top 25 Young Visionaries in 2023, further solidifying his status as a leading voice in international affairs.
