OOLITIC—The following road closures are scheduled for Monday in Oolitic to provide emergency personnel with access to addresses throughout the town should traffic congestion be an issue during the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8.
A medical helicopter will be staged at the Dollens Middle School to provide quick access to trauma care should highways also become congested and hard to reach.
The road closures will occur from Monday, April 8, at 5:00 a.m. until Tuesday, April 9, at 8:00 a.m..
- Main Street from Hoosier to Lafayette Avenue
- Hoosier Avenue from Main Street to Lafayette Avenue
- 1st Street from Hoosier Avenue to Lafayette Avenue
Oolitic Town Hall will also be closed on Monday, April 8th, and reopen on Tuesday, April 9.
