BEDFORD—Lawrence County Treasurer Jody Edwards reports that property tax statements will be mailed on Friday, April 5th, to property owners.
The spring installment is due May 10, 2024.
The Treasurer’s Office will be open Monday – Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. for those who want to pay taxes in person.
Due to the Eclipse, the office will be closed on Monday, April 8th, and Tuesday, May 7th, for Election Day. The Assessors and Recorders Offices will also be closed on these dates.
While not required, bringing your tax statements will speed up the process. You can pay by cash, checks, or money orders in the office. Credit and debit card payments are not accepted in the office. You may pay by credit or debit by calling the toll-free number below or using the tax payment website. Current tax and credit card payment information may be found online.
You will also have the option of using our payment drop boxes located outside the Treasurer’s office door. Remember that if you choose to come to our office, you must go through the security screening. If you decide to use the drop box option, please place your payment coupon along with your payment in an envelope and provide your contact information in case we need to contact you.
