Police serve search warrant and find money, meth, marijuana, and multiple guns

PAOLI – On Tuesday, April 2, around noon, officers with the Paoli Police Department, Indiana State Police, and Orange County Sheriff’s Department attempted to serve an arrest warrant in the area of Youngs Creek.

Upon arrival at the house, the suspect, Troy Blythe, was taken into custody.

Officers could immediately smell the strong odor of marijuana and noticed several items of narcotics and drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the home. Officers then obtained a search warrant for the premises, and a search was conducted.

The search yielded a large quantity of drugs, guns, and money.

Officers located approximately a half pound (296 grams) of methamphetamine, a large quantity of marijuana, various pills, drug paraphernalia, multiple guns, and close to $2,500 in cash.

Troy Blythe was preliminary charged with dealing and possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance, dealing and possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Department would like to thank the assisting agencies for all the teamwork and collaboration displayed in this substantial blow to narcotics distribution in Orange County. The Paoli Police Department remains dedicated to the eradication of dangerous drugs that affect the community.
