Severe storms are expected this evening

LAWRENCE CO. – Today will be warm and muggy and feel more like June than April.

Because of the summer-like conditions, Hoosier could see summer-like severe weather.

The threat of severe weather will arrive around 10:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Hoosiers could see hail larger than two inches in diameter, stronger winds around 55 miles per hour, a slight change of spin-up tornado, and flash flooding conditions.

Expected rain totals of 1.5 inches or more from today through Wednesday could lead to an increased flooding threat.

After a cold front moves through, drier, sunnier, and quieter conditions should bring us into the rest of the week, providing an excellent opportunity to sit back, relax, and have time to prepare for the eclipse.Â
