Milltown man arrested for murder of his wife and additional child molestation charge

MILLTOWN – On Saturday, March 30th, officers with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Milltown area after a report a woman had been murdered.

When Officers arrived, they located Nancy Herman dead.

Indiana State Police was contacted to assist in the investigation. The suspect in the murder is her husband, Clinton Herman, 44, of Milltown.

Police have not released at this time how she died.

After the Indiana State Police completed a probable cause affidavit, a warrant was issued for Clinton Herman’s arrest out of Crawford County.

After several hours of searching for Clinton Herman, officers located him at a residence in Harrison County. Clinton Herman was taken into custody without incident on charges of murder, a Level 1 felony, and child molesting, a Level 3 felony.

The family of Nancy Herman has been notified, and an autopsy will be scheduled.
