According to a probable cause affidavit, on that day at 6:41 p.m., Officer Britten and Officer Jacob Kuhlman responded to a report of a dispute in the 900 block of West Warren Street.

The caller reported that Rayhill was attempting to get money from a car sale from his ex-girlfriend, and she was becoming agitated.

When police arrived, they spoke to the female, who said she had sold a vehicle and agreed to give Rayhill half the $1,000. She said he arrived at her home to get the money, but Rayhill wanted $1,400 from the sale of the vehicle.

She became angry and went inside because she didn’t want to argue with Rayhill.

Police say they learned there was an active protective order in place preventing Rayhill from being near the woman unless it involved the couple’s children.

Rayhill told police he knew the protective order was in place, but the woman had allowed him to visit her home to retrieve the money from the vehicle’s sale.

Officers arrested Rayhill for violating that protective order, and he was transported to jail.
