MORGAN CO. — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Force Construction Company is scheduled to begin work on or after Monday, April 1, to complete a bridge deck overlay in Morgan County along State Road 44 over South Prong Stotts Creek.
The bridge over South Prong Stotts Creek is located between Cope Road and Wampler Road, approximately five miles east of I-69. Motorists can expect temporary traffic signals to be utilized along S.R. 44 while work is in progress. Weather permitting, work is expected to be complete by late October.
This project is part of a $1.9 million contract awarded to Force Construction in December 2023. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, be cautious, and avoid distractions when traveling near work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
