Indiana State Police Lafayette District weekend patrol

LAFAYETTE – This past weekend, the Indiana State Police Lafayette Post executed targeted patrols across the district to identify and apprehend dangerous and impaired drivers. In addition to proactive enforcement efforts, troopers responded to and managed thirteen crashes. 

Key statistics from the weekend’s patrols include:

  • 265 Traffic Stops
  • Five Arrests for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated (OWI)
  • Three Drug-Related Arrests
  • Six Driving While Suspended Prior/Operating Without Ever Receiving a License
  • One Warrant Arrest

The Indiana State Police is unwavering in its commitment to promoting traffic safety. We will continue to conduct saturation patrols, a crucial part of our strategy to detect and apprehend impaired drivers.
