Paid workers needed at the polls this election season

LAWRENCE COUNTY—There are multiple openings for Election Day positions, including positions for both the Democratic and Republican parties. The county hopes to have all vacancies filled by April 16, 2024, for the Primary Election. They will also need workers for the General Election in November.

Anyone interested in working may contact Tammy Hall at 812-277-2036 at your earliest convenience.  Workers will be compensated for the day, but please look at it as a way to assist the citizens of Lawrence County in the election process. You have to be a US Citizen and a resident of Lawrence County to be eligible to work the election.  Students aged 16 and up must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, and have the approval of the student’s parent or guardian.  Election Day workers are required to complete a short training in the Voter Registration Office.
