Senator Eric Koch welcomed local students who served as Senate pages

STATEHOUSE –  State Sen. Eric Koch (R-Bedford) welcomed the following local students who served as Senate pages in February to the Statehouse.

Anna Sowders, from Mitchell, attends Mitchell High School
Emma Doriot, from Brownstown, attends Immanuel Lutheran School
Brianna Gomez from Seymour, attends Seymour High School
Kinsley Storey, from Seymour, attends Immanuel Lutheran School

Pages spend a day at the Statehouse touring the historic building, observing debates from the Senate floor, and interacting with their state senator.

“The Senate Page Program is a great way for students to learn about state government beyond the classroom,” Koch said. “I always enjoy meeting pages from my district, and I encourage all students to participate in this unique learning opportunity.”

Students in grades 6 through 12 participate in the page program during the legislative session on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. Groups serve on Wednesdays.
