LAWRENCE CO. – David Smith has been retained as Lawrence County’s legal counsel.
Smith was given a $31,142 pay raise.
Lawrence County Commissioner Dustin Gabhart spoke to the county council about the importance of keeping Smith as county attorney and adding to his current $40,854 yearly salary.
I do not need to explain what an asset David Smith has been to the county,” said Gabhart.
The Lawrence County Council approved Commissioner Gabhart’s request by 7-0 vote.
