Indiana extends alcohol sales hours due to daylight savings time

INDIANAPOLIS– The Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission (“ATC”) has announced that it will allow the sale of alcoholic beverages on Sunday, March 10, 2024, to continue until 4:00 a.m. due to Daylight Saving Time.

Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at 2:00 a.m., at which time clocks will move forward one hour to 3:00 a.m.  In accordance with Indiana Code 7.1-3-1-14, all alcoholic beverage sales must cease by 3:00 a.m. local prevailing time.  However, in observance of Daylight Saving Time, the ATC is permitting the sale of alcoholic beverages to occur until 4:00 a.m. on Sunday morning in order to maintain the regular number of service hours for retailers.
