Tamera Standerfer is an asset to Lawrence County community events

BEDFORD – In a short time, Tamera Standerfer, Office Coordinator for the Bedford Chamber and the Lawrence County Growth Council, has become a true asset to the organization.

Tamera Standerfer

Tamera attended College at the University of North Texas, where she graduated with a degree in Fine Art Photography. Her career started as the Photography Director at Neiman Marcus for 16 years, a tenure highlighted by her leadership in producing the annual Neiman Marcus Christmas Catalog – an iconic holiday catalog in the United States. She believes that this specific project helped her grow into a perfectionist, not being satisfied until the catalog was of the highest quality possible. Following Neiman Marcus, she had a role as an elementary art teacher in Midland, Texas. Despite budgetary constraints and the lack of a functional sink in her classroom, Tamera worked through it, teaching her students the invaluable lesson of collaboration to achieve common goals. To this day, art is still her hobby and passion. She fondly looks back on her impact on the children throughout her teaching.

Tamera and her husband moved to Bedford just a few years ago. After a short time away from work, Tamera was inspired to join the Chamber/Growth Council team following her attendance at a community event hosted by the Chamber.

Her primary responsibilities now include supporting the Chamber and the Growth Council in their daily activities, serving as the first point of contact, and assisting in planning community events.
