National Weather Service: Area could see quick burst of snow

INDIANA – The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for the following counties: Brown, Bartholomew, Daviess, Greene, Jackson, Lawrence Martin, and Monroe Counties.

Rain is expected to transition to snow late Monday evening with a quick burst of up to two inches of snow. The highest accumulations will be on grassy and elevated surfaces due to the warm ground temperatures.

Motorists should use extra caution when traveling late Monday evening through the early overnight hours.
