Freetown man charged with rape of teenage boy

FREETOWN – A 45-year-old Freetown man has been detained after police say he raped a teenage boy.

According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, Bradley Moore is accused of sexually assaulting a boy from Seymour.

On Sunday, February 4th, around 9 p.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of sexual assault occurring that morning in Freetown.

Detectives proceeded to investigate and learned that Moore had requested and paid for an explicit image from the teen on Saturday, February 3, and raped the boy the next day.

“Bradley Moore actually called our department on Sunday night and left my sergeant a voicemail confessing to the crime and wanting to turn himself in,” said Detective J.L. McElfresh.

Moore was arrested and charged with promotion of sexual trafficking, rape, and sexual misconduct with a minor.

The investigation is ongoing.
