City of Bedford Utilities issues boil order

BEDFORD – The City of Bedford has issued a precautionary boil order effective today for the following areas:

28th Street to 29th Street on the east side of Washington Avenue; 29th Street from and including Illinois Street east to Mitchell Road; Washington Avenue south of 29th Street including Hillcrest Circle, 30th, 31st, 32nd Streets, Able Avenue, 33rd, 34th, 35th Street including Brooke Avenue, Rachelle Drive and Lacy Lane, 36th Street and 39th Street including Louden Lane east of State Road 37 and West of Mitchell Road. 32nd Street east of Mitchell Road, X and V Streets, W Street south of 29th Street; R Street from 30th to 32nd Street and T Street east of Washington Avenue. Mitchell Road south of 29th Street to SandPit Road.

This precautionary boil order will remain in force until further notice. It is being issued to repair a water main. 

Bring all water to a boil.  Let the water boil vigorously for 2 minutes.  Let water cool before using, or use bottled water. 

Pre-boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, brushing teeth, washing vegetables, washing dishes, making infant formula, all food preparation and consumption, and making or using ice until further notice.
