BLOOMINGTON – Police say a burglary on Monday damaged a Bloomington restaurant and stole various types of uncooked meat.
Bloomington Police Department officers responded to Juannita’s Restaurant, 620 West Kirkwood Avenue, on Monday morning. Someone broke in after the restaurant closed Sunday night and reopened on Monday morning.
The intruder opened a valve on the deep fryer, causing oil to spill all over the floor.
Police said the thief or thieves stole “chicken, steak, chorizo, pork, beef, and shrimp” from the authentic Mexican restaurant.
The theft remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call the Bloomington Police Department at 812-339-4477.
