Impaired driving arrest follows crash in Orange County

PAOLI – A property damage accident on Monday in the Paoli area landed a Paoli man in jail.

Indiana State Police Troopers Noah Ewing, Blake Leary, and Mackenzie Alexander arrived on the scene with Paoli Police.

After being checked by EMS, troopers spoke to the driver, 48-year-old Jeremy McCracken. While speaking to McCracken, troopers observed signs of McCracken being impaired.

An OWI investigation was started that led to the arrest of McCracken for operating while impaired. During a search, officers found marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

McCracken was transported to IU Health Hospital for medical clearance. Once cleared, McCracken was transported to the Orange County jail on charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated and possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Assisting at the scene were Paoli Police officers and Orange County EMS.
