Williams man detained after officer spots bag of meth

BEDFORD – A Williams man faces drug charges after he was detained during a traffic stop on Friday, January 26th.

At approximately 6 p.m., Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Andrew Tillett conducted a traffic stop at 67-year-old Thomas Reynolds for speeding along State Road 450 near Coxton Road.

Officer Tillett observed a small plastic bag containing a crystal substance as he spoke to Reynolds. Further investigation revealed the bag contained 15 grams of crystal meth.

Reynolds was arrested and incarcerated at the Lawrence County Jail on a charge of possession of methamphetamine between 10 and 28 grams, a Level 4 Felony.
