Obituary: Phillip R. Richardson

April 19, 1948 – January 25, 2024

Phillip Richardson, 75, of Williams, passed away at 4:05 pm on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at his residence.


Born April 19, 1948, in Bloomington, he was the son of Henry and Elva (Brown) Richardson. He married Rogenia Cain on June 2, 1966 and she survives. He retired from Whitestone after 26 years. He was very hardworking and a self-taught woodworker and auto mechanic. He enjoyed working and fishing and built
his family home.

Survivors include his wife Rogenia of Williams; three children, Philisha Hobbs and husband Dennis of Bloomington, Lana Eads and husband Donald of Bloomington, Phillip Andrew Richardson and wife Tabetha of Bloomfield; twelve grandchildren, Laci Hobbs, Zach Hobbs, and wife Bitsy, Paul Hobbs and wife Whitney, Rachel Hardy and husband Justin, Sam and Abby Eads, Kelsey Richardson, Austin Richardson and wife Lexus, Kurtis Richardson, Aaron Richardson, Kole Richardson, and Nora Richardson; eleven great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren; five sisters, Sheila Summit, Sheryl Frye, Shelly Richardson, Shirley Richardson, and Sandy; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded by his parents, two brothers, Jimmy Lee Richardson and Tim Richardson, and a grandson, Bear Richardson.


Graveside services will be conducted on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Port Williams Cemetery at 1:30 pm. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
