Karen L. Pedro, 80, of Springville, IN, passed away at her home surrounded by family on January 24, 2024.
Born February 11, 1943, in Bloomington, Indiana, the daughter of Everett and Loretta (Sowders) Cain.
Karen worked for IU Health Bloomington for 30 years. Karen held many positions with IU until her retirement in 2008.
Karen attended Life Tabernacle in Springville, IN, until her health issues kept her home.
Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Jerry C. Pedro, her two daughters Cynthia Robertson (Steve) of Solsberry, IN, Jerri Cobb (Ben) of Springville IN; four grandchildren, Andrew Robertson of Solsberry, Andrea Stringer (Brent) of Seymour, Grace Bryant (Evan) of Salem, and Jordan Cobb of Springville; five great-grandchildren, Jaslyn, Braedyn and Kylee Stringer, Ellie, and Tucker Bryant; several nieces and nephews.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Linda Jordan, and her in-laws, Cleo and Mary Pedro.
The Celebration of Life service will be at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Life Tabernacle in Springville, with visitation from 3:00 PM until service time.
