Gusty winds, rain, and a wintery mix approaching Southern Indiana

INDIANA – A Special Weather statement has been issued this morning by the National Weather Service from Southern Indiana, including Dubois, Orange, Scott, and Washington Counties.

Gusty winds are expected late tonight through Wednesday morning, with a wintery mix possible on Tuesday night.

Gusty winds and widespread rain will develop ahead of a strong low-pressure system after midnight tonight. Gusts near or above 30 miles per hour from the southeast are likely, especially on Tuesday morning.

Another period of gusty winds is expected Tuesday night and could be accompanied by a wintry mix. Wind gusts could exceed 40 mph from the southwest, with minor snow accumulations also possible.
