A warrant was issued for Sons’ arrest after an investigation conducted by Deputy Rhoades and Deputy Whitney Anderson on December 12, 2023.

During the investigation, officers learned that Sons had gotten into an argument with another female and injured her. The female victim suffered two swollen and black eyes, along with several marks and injuries to her face.

Sons had left the residence before officers arrived, and she could not be located.

The victim was transported to a safe location and officers filed for an arrest warrant on Sons.

When deputies arrived at the residence on January 4th, they made contact with Sons. They also detected the odor of marijuana coming from the residence.

They obtained consent from Sons to search the home and located drug paraphernalia associated with the use of methamphetamine. At that time, Sons withdrew her consent to search.

Deputy Pruett applied for a search warrant signed by the Superior Court I Judge John Plummer III. The search warrant was then executed. During the search, officers located marijuana, meth, and more drug paraphernalia.

Sons was arrested on the felony warrant, plus the additional charges of possession of meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia, and was transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
