Thelma B. Blackburn Cahill, 102, of Bedford, passed away at 12:46 a.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at White River Lodge in Bedford.
Born September 19, 1921, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Homer and Isabelle (Greer) Blackburn. She married James Flynn, and he preceded her in death. She married Emery P. Cahill on September 4, 1978, and he preceded her in death on December 6, 1997. She retired from RCA after 27 years of employment and was a member of the Free Methodist Church.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Vickie (Aaron) Cook and David Flynn; three great-grandchildren, Emma Cook, Aaron White, and Eddie Flynn.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a brother, Verna “Bud” Blackburn, and a son, Eddie Flynn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 21st, in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from noon until the hour of service on Thursday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
