The agreement is for the WRHS to provide refuge for impounded dogs and cats, resulting from the enforcement of county ordinances, impoundment, and quarantine.

The society will hold the animals for seven business days to allow owners to retrieve their animals.

The society will evaluate the animals’ medical conditions and provide veterinary medical services. The owner will be responsible for any veterinary care when reclaiming the animal.

The county will pay $53,230 to the shelter for its services annually. The payments will be made in 12 monthly installments.
