David Shane Couch, 54, of Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at his home.
He was born on January 13, 1970, in Bedford.
David was employed at NSWC Crane for 20 years, serving as a Quality Assurance Specialist.
David was preceded in death by his father, David Couch Sr.
He is survived by his: mother, Helen Couch; his wife, Angi Couch; his children, Logan, Nolan, and Adisyn Couch; sister Lee Ann Anderson; brother Greg (Lisa) Couch; his father and mother-in-law Tim, and Terri Gates, brother-in-law Nick (Anna) Gates; numerous nieces, and nephews and many other extended family and friends.
David was the life of any room he entered. He was a fierce friend with an infectious personality. He was always the first to call when someone needed anything, and he would instantly drop what he was doing to help. David was an avid fan of all sports, but especially IU basketball. He loved traveling to watch local sports teams and his family compete. David was passionate about coaching youth sports and teaching not only the fundamentals of the game but also the fun and enjoyment of playing.
David held many titles in his life, from coach to DIY carpenter, but his favorite role was being a father. He loved nothing more than spending time with Angi, Logan, Nolan, and Adisyn, family and friends.
Our loving husband and father touched many lives throughout the Bedford community and will be
dearly missed by all who knew him.
There will be a Celebration of Life held in honor of David later in January (details to be determined).
