Meth and drug paraphernalia found when police serve warrant for house arrest violation, Springville man faces new charges

SPRINGVILLE – A Springville man was arrested on Saturday, December 2 after the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department received a report that 47-year-old Delton Roberson was wanted on a warrant for violating the terms of his house arrest.

Deputies Brenten Trueblood and Chris Griggs and Indiana State Police Trooper Tyler Trueblood responded to the home in the 2000 block of Harrodsburg Road. When officers arrived Roberson was present and detained with no incident.

While officers were collecting his home detention equipment, they found a glass smoking device with crystal meth in it and a small cellophane wrapper that tested positive for meth in Roberson’s bedroom. Roberson then signed a consent to search the home. Police then found a corner baggie that contained crystal meth, another cellophane wrapper containing crystal meth, a pen used to snort the drug, and two syringes.

Roberson was arrested on the outstanding warrant along with new charges of possession of meth over 5 grams, unlawful possession of syringes, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
