Report of an overdose lands three behind bars

COLUMBUS – A report of an overdose at a Columbus home on Saturday landed three people in jail on meth charges.

Columbus Police Department, officers were called to the 2000 block of McKinley Avenue at 12:15 a.m. after a report a person was unconscious and not breathing. Police performed life-saving measures on the man until paramedics arrived and he eventually regained consciousness. He was then transported to Columbus Regional Health Hospital for treatment.

While inside the home, officers noticed marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Officers obtained a search warrant and found a box containing syringes and nearly a pound of meth.

Three residents were arrested as a result of the investigation.

Police detained 30-year-old Phillip L. Thompson and 27-year-old Jordan T. Roberts on charges of dealing meth, maintaining a common nuisance, possessing drug paraphernalia and unlawful possession of syringes.

Police also detained 51-year-old Kristen M. Sexton on charges of possession of meth, marijuana, and drug paraphernalia and visiting a common nuisance.
