Barbara Jean (Casada) Graves, 95, of Bedford, passed away at 10:35 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at her residence.
Born April 16, 1928, in Bedford, IN, she was the daughter of Opal and Freeda (Baker) Casada. She married James E. Graves on June 9, 1943, in Fort Smith, Arkansas and he preceded her in death on November 2, 2016. Barbara was a member of the Mount Pleasant Christian Church and had worked at Fit for Life for 26 years.
Survivors include one son, Jan Kevin Graves, and his wife Kimber of Seymour; a daughter, Jamie McClain,
and her husband Rocky of Bedford; three granddaughters: Brooke Elliott, and her husband Robin of Champagne, IL. Summer Marks, and her husband Ben of Seymour, and Jordan Graves of New Albany; three grandsons: Kevin Graves, and Jonathan Graves both of Louisville, KY, and Nathan McClain, and his wife Brittany of Arizona; nine great-grandchildren: Aiden, and Kallyn Elliott both of Champagne, IL, Max and Eli McClain of Arizona, Ben, Anna, Tolliver, and Calvry Marks all of Seymour, Elliott Mills of New Albany; a sister Marlene Emery of Bedford.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Private graveside services will be held at the Mount Pleasant Christian Church Cemetery with Mark Bennett officiating. There will be no visitation.
