DAVIESS CO. – Daviess County Fire Departments have been busy fighting field and grass fires throughout the county.
Dry vegetation with low humidity and breezy conditions created an environment for fires to spread quickly. These conditions will last for several more days.
The commissioners issued a burn ban for Daviess County.
Burning in a containment is allowed but should always be watched.
Officials say in these conditions can become out of control quickly and spread to homes, vehicles, and other structures.
