Two arrested in a drug investigation in Columbus

COLUMBUS – The Columbus Police Department-Bartholomew County Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team closed out a long-term drug dealing investigation on Wednesday, October 25th.

The investigation ended with the arrest of Robert D. Zambrano, and Ashley Gibson, both of Columbus.

As a result of the investigation, JNET detectives were able to obtain a search warrant for Zambrano’s residence located at 261 North Ross Street in Columbus.

During the search, police seized nearly three ounces of meth and more than three ounces of marijuana. Police also found packaging material, a digital scale, and a large amount of drug paraphernalia.

Zambrano and Gibson were detained and transported to the Bartholomew County Jail.

Zambrano is facing charges of dealing in meth, maintaining a common nuisance, dealing marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gibson faces charges of possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
