Woman attempts to retrieve a ring and is arrested for a protective order violation

BEDFORD – A Bedford woman was arrested Monday, October 23, after Bedford Police Department officers were called to respond to a report of a protective order violation at 11:11 p.m. at 1132 Hillcrest Road.

The caller reported an active protective order against 32-year-old Jessica Bunch was in place and the woman was now standing on her front porch.

Prior to police arriving the female caller reported Bunch had left the scene in a white BMW SUV.

The caller told police that Bunch was at the apartment looking for her ex-girlfriend. The incident was captured on the caller’s doorbell camera.

Bunch was captured on video walking to the camera and covering it with her hand. Bunch then told the resident twice that the protective order had been lifted and the video ended. In a second video, Bunch is seen walking back to her white SUV.

The caller also provided police with text messages sent to her phone from Bunch.

Officers confirmed the protective order was still active.

Police arrived at Bunch’s home located at 1320 Oak Manor where she immediately emerged from the home and stated she went to the apartment to get her ring back. Officers then told Bunch she was in violation of the protective order but Bunch argued the protective order was only good for a year. She was then informed the order was active for two years.

Bunch then told the officers she would not return to the apartment.

Bunch was then detained on a charge of invasion of privacy and transported to the Lawrence County Jail.
