Murder on Labor Day: Historic walk and murder tale

BEDFORD – Explore the 1903 murder of Bedford seamstress Susannah Ireland in “Murder on Labor Day,” this year’s historic walk, haunted talk and light supper. The event is on Friday, October 27, beginning at 6 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Bedford. You will hear the story through witnesses, local officials, and other interesting characters.

This event includes the following:

  • A HISTORIC WALK with re-enactors, beginning at First Christian Church in Bedford.
  • A delicious DINNER of soups, cornbread, and other good things.
  • A HAUNTED TALK by Believe Paranormal about their investigation into the Ireland murder.

Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors over 65, and $10 for students, and are on sale now at the Lawrence County Museum, located at 929 16th Street, Bedford. Museum hours are Tuesday through from Friday 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., and on Saturday 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
