LAWRENCE CO. – The Lawrence County Independent Schools has finally finished re-vamping their outdoor classroom and amphitheater located on their nature trail.
After tearing down the old, rotten platform that posed a safety hazard, LCIS has gradually rebuilt the benches and the platform over the last few months.
LCIS Facebook page thanked students, parents, staff, volunteers of the community, STEAM teacher Mrs. Weir, Carol Ritter, and Kerry Coulter with Coulter Construction.
Kerry volunteered his time, labor, and materials to make the stage accessible to all students.
The school is excited to host classes in the refurbished outdoor classroom.
