5th Street lot approved for re-zoning for barbershop

BEDFORD – Forest Lake of Bedford filed a request asking to re-zone his land from R-3 Medium Density Residential District to B-1 Convenience Business in September.

Yesterday, October 10, the Bedford Planning Commission held a public hearing for the property on the corner of 5th Street.

There were no disputes at the meeting, and the re-zoning was approved unanimously.

Forest Lake said that the small building currently on the lot will be the beginning of a barber shop, and later on they will “expand it if things go well.”

The request will be sent to the City Council for secondary approval, and then returned to the Bedford Planning Commission for the final motion.
