Anderson man arrested on child pornography charges

ANDERSON – On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, detectives from the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) and detectives from the Indiana State Police Pendleton District arrested a 31-year-old Anderson, Indiana man on charges of possession of child pornography following a search warrant at his Anderson residence.

The investigation began in June 2023 as an undercover operation.  During the four-month investigation, detectives were able to determine that an individual at a residence near the 2000 block of 5th Street in Anderson, Indiana was in possession of child pornography. 

During the service of the search warrant, several electronic devices were found and seized.  Detectives located and arrested Joshua Jeffrey Thrasher, who was not at the residence at the time of the search warrant. 

Joshua Jeffery Thrasher was transported to the Madison County Jail without incident and preliminarily charged with possession of child pornography, possession of child pornography depicting a child under 12 years old, possessing child pornography depicting a child engaged in bestiality, participating in the sexual conduct matter, performance, or incident by use of force or the threat of force, receives a bodily injury while participating in the sexual conduct, matter, performance or incident.
