BEDFORD — On Friday, September 22, 2023, North Lawrence Community Schools received a report concerning a Bedford Middle School support staff member sending inappropriate photographs to BMS students.
NLCS immediately removed Gibson from the school grounds and reported the incident to local law enforcement. The district no longer employs Gibson.
Today Bedford Police officers arrested 39-year-old Grant Gibson on charges of providing obscene material to minors and official misconduct.
Because this matter involves students and personnel, NLCS is legally limited on the information the district can share publicly.
“Please understand that the safety of our students is always a top priority. We appreciate your patience and trust as we address this matter appropriately,” said Superintendent Kevin Yancey in a press release.
