Flu shots available to IU students and staff

BLOOMINGTON – The IU Bloomington Student Health Center at 600 North Eagleson Avenue is offering a series of flu shot clinics throughout October.

Flu shots are the single best way to protect oneself against the flu, or influenza. The flu infects millions of Americans each year, resulting in over 200,000 hospitalizations and an average of 24,000 deaths.

The on-campus clinics are for current faculty and staff and enrolled students only they are not open to spouses/partners or dependents of employees or retired faculty or staff.

Appointments are required and must be scheduled online.

Students can attend one of the clinics or get their flu shot when they are here for any non-sick visit. Ask your provider or nurse during your appointment.

The following clinics will be offered on the first floor of the Student Health Center (600 N Eagleson) from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.:

  • Tuesday, October 10, 24
  • Wednesday, October 4, 11, 18, 25
  • Thursday, October 5, 19
  • Friday, October 6, 20
