BPD makes arrest for public intoxication and disorderly conduct when man exposes himself

BEDFORD – A Bedford man was arrested after Bedford Police officers were requested to 2621 Industrial Park Drive on Tuesday, September 19th after a report of a fight.

When police arrived at 3:50 p.m. they found 62-year-old Georg Rathburn sitting inside the gazebo outside of the apartment building. Police say Rathburn was intoxicated and was having trouble standing.

There were three other men sitting in the gazebo with Rathburn. One said he was drinking a beer when Rathburn attempted to take it away from him so he pushed Rathburn. The two other men witnessed the incident. He then said Rathburn started to punch the windows on the apartment building and then exposed himself to the three men.

Rathburn was arrested and transported to jail on charges of public intoxication and disorderly conduct.

While at the jail, he submitted to a portable breath test and had a blood-alcohol level of 0.14 percent.
