JEFFERSONVILLE – Jeffersonville swept past Bedford North Lawrence 5-0 to finish third in the Hoosier Hills Conference tournament during boys high school tennis action on Friday.
The Red Devils didn’t drop a set, although the Stars pushed them to a tiebreaker in the opening set at No.2 doubles.
Eli Cochran stopped Jayden Kemp 6-1, 6-3 at No.1 singles, Matthew Lowe downed Orion Hill 6-1, 6-2 at No.2, and Teddy Burnette defeated Isaac Bridges 6-2, 6-2 at No.3.
In doubles, Jeff’s Ryan Crawford and Javier Gomez cruised past Drew Stephenson and Neal Patel 6-1, 6-1 at No.1, while Quinn Lemon and Ben Eiten fought off Gavin Baker and Jackson Corey 7-6 (7-5 in the tiebreaker), 6-0 at No.2.
BNL (7-13) will host Edgewood on Monday.
