Bloomington South stops BNL in straight sets

BNL’s Camryn Anderson and the Stars fell to Bloomington South in three sets on Tuesday night.

BLOOMINGTON – Bloomington South conquered Bedford North Lawrence in straight sets during high school volleyball action on Tuesday night.

The Panthers (9-13) posted a 25-13, 25-13, 25-17 victory. The Stars slipped to 7-14.

“South is always a great game,” BNL coach Whitney Carroll said. “Our focus is on our side. Are we controlling what we can control? Getting better every game? If we’re doing that, I’m happy.

“We are showing so much growth as a team and individually. I’m proud of them. We just have to keep getting better and learning from each game.”

Trinidy Bailey paced the Stars with 20 assists and 7 defensive digs. Camryn Anderson had 7 kills and 16 digs, Kendlyn Alvey added 16 digs, and Sammie Gratzer totaled 8 kills and 5 digs. Isabelle Harding recorded 3 kills and 4 digs, Suttyn Alvey had 6 digs, and Sara Williams finished with 5 digs.

“Trinidy commanded the floor again tonight,” Carroll said. “She made a lot of hustle plays and set well.”

BNL will host Eastern Greene on Monday.
