Trooper escapes injury after suspect crashes into ISP vehicle

KNOX CO. – A Washington man was hospitalized and an Indiana State Police trooper escaped injury after a police chase Friday night.

The police chase involved a stolen vehicle and the 36-year-old male driver from Washington.

The pursuit began just after 6 p.m. in Vincennes and ended in the southern part of the county near Orrville Road and County Road 1300 West when the suspect crashed into an ISP trooper’s car.

ISP Master Trooper Goodman was standing outside of his patrol vehicle preparing to deploy stop sticks when the suspect collided with the police vehicle.

Trooper Goodman was not injured.
