MONROE CO. – A Greene County woman was killed in a two-vehicle head-on collision Friday, September 15 on State Road 45.
Deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office responded to West State Road 45 and North Eller Road at 11:28 a.m.
Police say, 32-year-old Haylee Keller, of Greene County, died at the scene from her injuries.
The other driver, Zachary Seiger, of Putnam, suffered injuries to his lower leg and torso and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
According to police, Sieger was traveling west on State Road 45 when he crossed the center line and collided with Keller’s vehicle, which was traveling east on State Road 45.
The crash remains under investigation and the Monroe County Accident Reconstructionist was requested to the scene.
Assisting at the scene were the Indiana State Police, Monroe Fire Protection District, and IU LifeLine ambulance.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department sends its condolences to all the families and community members affected by this tragedy.
