BEDFORD – Tuesday morning, the Planning board approved a change to the code limiting the type of structures that are permitted in Mobile Home Park districts.
The changes consist of amending the limitations to allow Manufactured Homes Type-I and Single Family Dwellings in the MH Mobile Home Park Districts and allowing any existing structures of the same kind to be grandfathered in under the amended code.
This amendment only affects two of Bedford’s four mobile home parks, Thornes Mobile Home Park and the Rockport Estates Trailer Park.
Because Type-II Manufactured Homes were already allowed, and several Type-I homes already existed in the districts, it made sense to amend the code to facilitate the inclusion of Type-I Manufactured Homes and Single Family Dwellings.
