Mary Ellen (Anderson) Caswell, 71, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023, at her residence.
She was born March 4, 1952, in Evanston, IL, to Jesse C. Anderson and Carol J. (Ferguson) Anderson. She married Barbara Antle on December 1, 2014, and she preceded her in death in 2018.
Mary Ellen retired as a Corrections Officer and had previously worked at Otis Elevator and RCA. She was a graduate of Bedford High School, class of 1970. She was of the Episcopalian faith and a member of the Cutter Girls. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and playing on her computer.
Surviving to cherish Mary’s memory are her two children, Crystal Ray and Richard Caswell; grandchildren, Tyler Guthrie, Chelsea Caswell, Mason Caswell, and wife Tonya, Jacob Ray and fiancé Paige, Katelyn Ray, Erik Haase and wife Hailey, Evan Reed, and Quentin Reed; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Louis Anderson, and wife Darlene; one sister, Sally Findley; along with several nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; partner, Barbara; three sisters, Sherry Brock, Sandra Berthene, and Judith Anderson in infancy; and three brothers, Mike Anderson, Stephen Anderson, and Jesse Anderson.
A private service will be held with Pastor Billy Brim officiating. Burial will follow at a later date
Services for Mary have been entrusted to the Ferguson-Lee Chapel of Thorne-George Family Funeral Homes, Bedford, IN.
