S.R. 58 to close for culvert pipe replacement in Kurtz

JACKSON COUNTY — Indiana Department of Transportation contactor Force Construction Company, Inc. is scheduled to close S.R. 58 beginning next week for a culvert pipe replacement in Jackson County. On or after Thursday, September 14, S.R. 58 will close to traffic for a culvert pipe replacement at the intersection of S.R. 58 and Cleveland Street in Kurtz.

The closure is expected to last up to 30 days, weather permitting. Traffic will be routed along the official detour, which follows S.R. 446 to U.S. 50 to S.R. 135.This project is part of a $4.5 million contract awarded to Force Construction in May 2023. INDOT reminds motorists to slow down, use caution and drive distraction-free in and near work zones. All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
