Stars end skid with four-set win at WRV

BNL’s Trinidy Bailey and the Stars stopped WRV in four sets on Monday night.

SWITZ CITY – Bedford North Lawrence ended its four-game losing skid with a four-set victory over White River Valley during high school volleyball action on Monday night.

The Stars (4-5) recorded a 15-25, 25-14, 25-21, 25-19 triumph.

Sammie Gratzer powered BNL with 24 kills on the front row while Camryn Anderson totaled 19 kills. Isabelle Harding, after being gone for a week, returned with 5 kills in the middle, and Kendlyn Alvey totaled 33 defensive digs.

“We started slow and gave them set one,” BNL coach Whitney Carroll said. “We finally got our feet moving and our hitters started hitting their shots. Give WRV credit, they’re a scrappy team and worked hard to not let that ball hit the floor.

“We’re getting better each day.”

The Stars will journey to Scottsburg on Tuesday.
